The problem guys is your wrongfully ASSuming that you have a warrenty anyway. I have seen very little evidence of mechanical warrenty for the EVO yet. A few things here and there but I think yall are kidding yourselves
I don't think anyone is going to be able to "fix" the idle while making power worth a damn. A nicely sized cam is just going to inherently have longer durations, more overlap, and potentially a wider LSA.

I agree with you about the warranty. It isn't worth the paper it's written on. I'll tell you tommorow if they warranty the chipped paint on the driver's side rear door that's already rusting.

Yeah, Vishnu had some problems tuning Colorado (high-altitude) cars that made them believe the stock fuel pump could not meet top-end demand under certain conditions. So the fuel pump upgrade was recommended.

To me it was. It's not so much loud so much as it's a frequency that's noticeable because it isn't in the range of other engine/transmission noises.

To put it in perspective, I don't hear it over the tires, turbo or exhaust when any of them are making their characteristic noises.

EZ go buy that dynamat xtreme 10"*10" dual sheet they use for installing replacement speakers in the door ~$20 just slap them over the cover and call it a day

I can't hear my pump at all with the seat in. When I first fired it up I had the cover off as well as the seat and I could barely hear it. So maybe your pump is resonating or something

P.S. mine is from Vishnu (Walbro 255)

There is no reason why cams with a duration like the HKS shouldn't be able to idle well with a few tweaks and make gobs of power to boot. I've run 300 degree cams on carburated road cars and they can be made to idle just fine. Emissions make this all a little bit more difficult but it is certainly doable. It appears that Vishnu is working on a fix anyway.

you can easily make it idle better, raise the idle up. simple, but the point is at stock idle ~750rpm, the lope on the 264/264 is not any more than stock, curious to know what the stock durations are...anyone???? bueller??? bueller??

That doesn't necessarily translate directly from motor to motor.

...But I agree, emissions is a big factor. We'll see how that fares. Works is supposedly trying to get their 269s CARB certified so I'm interested to see how that plays out.

i dont see why if you guys plan to do motor work (at least cams or a bit of top end on a motor ) why you guys are still looking at warranty .If warranty is a big issue were you want a complete coverage with headache free hussles , then dont modify the car at all . Even doh i dont see what a big deal would be to do a turbo back exhaust but yet with some dealers it attends to be a big deal as a mod ...
