Blown Turbo
It does not matter what the compression of the engine is as far as whether you can drive it with a "blown" turbo or not.
If the turbo is just not working, you can drive it probably as long as you can stand the lousy performance. The car will just run like crap.
In some cases, the oil lines that lubricate the blower could get clogged due to whatever damage the turbo shaft and bearings suffered. In this case, I guess it's possible that the lubrication of the entire engine could be compromised.
In my experience, a turbo car will run forever (albeit slowly) without a functioning turbo. My brother had an Audi of '80s vintage, and my other brother had a 280ZX at a different time and both cars lost the use of the blowers.... They ran OK but had no power (ran like any other underpowered subcompact
) but that was all..... I don't know if this will be the case with an EVO or DSM.
