Damn check engine light!!!

About a month ago my 'service engine soon' light came on. A few days later, it went off. Now, after about a month of it being off.,.. it comes back on again! WTF.

BTW..

1. my car has been running fine the entire time.
2. Only mod i have is hks type 1 TT.

has this happened to anybody else?

Make sure you the gas cap clicks about 4-5 times when you close it.

I assume you tapped into the ECU for the wiring? Check the connection and make sure nothing's disconnected. If there's a short, the system might throw a code...

Take out the turbo timer, reset the ECU. Then if the engine light comes back take it to the dealer.

around 200 miles ago, my CEL came onand 200 miles later, it went off. Asked Mitsubishi WTF did my CEL go on??? My gas cap has been tight every single time. Only mods are Dynoflash, HKS RS intake, Cusco Oil Catch Tank, HKS DP, UR 3" Cat, HKS CB, and some electronic mods. O2 sensor was placed at a very accurate position. Didn't know why. They say sometimes it reminds you for oil changes. I have changed the oil at 1K, 4K, and now 7K. Next will be 10K.

I was just kidding, I agree with these guys. If the cap don't work I would go with TrippinFlip.
