sorry for the noob question, but can anyone share what does Engine Blue Print mean?

To "Blueprint" is automotive slang meaning machining and assembling an engine's reciprocating parts to very precise tolerances.

In more simple term,Blueprint=Assemble Engine to the tolerance specified by the blueprint of the engine

 

Let's say the engineer designing a part wants it to be 3 inches in diameter. The tolerance describes how far away from 3 inches the part can be before you throw it away. This might be written 3.000” + 0.003”. The blue printer endeavors to provide a part that is exactly 3 inches. Do this throughout the engine and you have the perfect engine assuming the engineer got it right.
