intake install went wrong

So long story short, my friend was messing around with my stock EVO 8 BPV and broke off the breather nipple !!!! I'm freaking out. I super glued it back on and used this high grade putty that can be used on plastic for support.... My question is.... How bad is this ? And what can go wrong if per say before I can replace it, it snaps off again...

If it breaks off, you run the risk of not releasing the pressure in the intercooler piping after you boost. It could damage your turbo due to surging.

*EDIT*
Do you mean the blow off valve/bypass valve, or the boost control solenoid like wizzo said? Good call wizzo, I read it quickly and thought it said BOV.

BPV as in the boost control solenoid? If so and the nipple from the valve to the intake tube broke its not that bad since its not under pressure. If its the one that goes to the wastegate then thats very bad and I would stay out of boost until you replace it.

I think he is talking about the plastic nipple in the intake pipe.

If so I wouldn't sweat it then. The glue should hold since there is no pressure there. If it does break off you may get a check engine light for mixture too lean because of the unmetered air coming though that broken nipple. Your gas mileage may also get worse with it broken off.

No, im referring to the actual PLASTIC blow off valve(bypass valve, whatever the F*** you want to call it). Theres the part that connects to the intake pipe, and the part that connects to the big rubber hose going to the UICP. and the part im talking about is a little breather nipple that goes from the BOV/BPV to the intake manifold....

AND UPDATE, finishing install of intake, went to put the breather hose on the mended breather nipple and it broke off the BOV again. So, im ****ed.

Youre gonna need another BOV. Without vacuum, the BOV won't open and do its job when the throttle is released. Plug the vacuum line going to the BOV, buy a new BOV, and stay out of boost until the new BOV is there and on the car.

Please for the love of god get a new bov, the stock 8 bov has proven to leak at a mere 1 psi. Do yourself and the car a favor and get a evo 9 bov or something else. APS, cobb, syncronic.
