Quick Question: What to gap plugs at after installing SpoolinUp COP?

Hey guys,
I'm hopefully going to be getting a tune this week, and I have a SpoolinUp COP kit on its way to my house that will be going on before the tune. I'm currently gapped at .022. How much can I increase this gap with the COP kit?
Thanks for the help,

Bob

Do they even need a gap change?

All things being equal, I would assume the kit is pretty much plug-n-play.

Thanks for the responses. I had breakup issues with stock ignition at .025, so I ran .022 and it seemed alright for awhile.
Golgo, I was under the understanding that the stronger spark allowed you to open the gap up a little more, which should make a little more power.

I will try different gapping out.

BPR8ES. I was told that was the proper plug for my setup. Thoughts?

Good to know. I'll try .024" first, and if it breaks up I'll go back to .022". It's funny gapping my Mustangs plugs at .042" then gapping these at nearly half

I think i started out around .030. I know on my old set up allot less HP it was ok at a wider gap with less break up issues then my current set up.

What fuel(pump gas) will you be using? What is your peak boost level going to be set at? What sort of driving conditions(i.e., daily driver, mixed stop and go driving, extended idling, strictly highway driving with sustained high speeds, drag racing and no street driving)?

Try the BR7ES(not BPR7ES) gapped wide at 0.026. I love this plug. It is only a half range hotter than the BPR8ES that you have been running.

Try them first at 0.026, and if it misses then bring them down to 0.024. However, if it doesn't miss initially at 0.026, then you can try opening them up to 0.028 which would be ideal. Hopefully, they won't miss for you at 0.026 though.

The BR7ES is a great plug for a car that sees mixed driving including some city cycling plus some highway use. I have run them at 27.5 PSI of boost and they held up fine on pump gas with a gallon of Xylene thrown into the tank. They usually last me about 2500-3000 miles.
