CBRD Half, Koyo Half, Mishimoto Half

Hey all, I am looking into some information for a friend of mine who doesn't go on the forums.

Had a quick question on these half sized radiators.

It was hard to tell by the pictures, but knowing CBRD (I use his full sized race radiator) I know he moved the hose location to be straight on with the block so you don't have a bent coolant hose.

From the pictures it almost looks like the Koyo Hyper and the Mishimoto do the same thing but I am not positive.

Anyone who has experience with any of these, can you chime in?

From all the reviews and such that I've read it looks like any of the 3 will work on his car as well, and the mishimoto is extremely cheap compared to the others. So any input on this as well would be helpful.

Hey man. If you are looking for a half rad, I know that Mishimoto doesn't make a direct fit half-sized radiator for the Evo 8. Because of this, my buddy used their 92-00 Honda Civic rad. It takes minimal work to fit, but it works and he couldn't be happier.

The FULL SIZE Mishimoto Evo VI rad has the coolant hook up to the right for a straight shot not the VII, VIII and IX, thats about all I know.

I think I'll end up trying out a mishimoto civic style radiator unless I feel like I have the extra money for a koyo.

CBRD gave me a price for a custom double thick with shroud and fan for about $950 and I almost **** my pants.

Unless you want to try road racing then any should be fine otherwise I'd probably go with a higher quality one like the CBRD or koyo. I'm still in the air whether I will even try it or not.

cbrd is higher quality, but more expensive. if you can comfortably afford the cbrd, them go for it.
