Wink Koyo vs CBRD vs Mishimoto vs OEM Radiator?

Hello Im running CBRD on my evo right now but I was wondering if there are any radiator that may work better for road racing purposes....
Is there any solid data against

OEM
CBRD
Mishimoto
Koyo
Koyo half size radiator

Im particularly interested in the Koyo and Koyo half size rads. does anybody have any experience with these? do these cool well?

Also, does changing coolant brand from one to other change its cooling performance??

I did find an interesting temp test data off of a dyno

Thanks

I'll throw out there that the Cyber Evo looks like it's running an OEM radiator.

Are you actually having cooling issues?
The CBRD rad is one of the best radiators on the market, and obviously will not be out performed by a koyo half rad lol..

As far as coolant goes, even changing the water/coolant ratio can have some effect.

haha i guess its more of a cbrd vs koyo rad comparison.
Last time i was running on my car it was hitting upwards of 250 road racing. Im, goign to replace my thermostat but im wondering if radiator change would make any difference.,...

im running the CBRD slim radiator at the moment.

i run a CBRD 3/4 rad. i have no problems with it. it keeps my coolant temps in check. IMO CBRD makes the best rad's available. i have run a few of them. every time i change my setup or need a custom unit built CBRD is where i go.

do not flush it. run the car with the cap off. let the GOOD T-Stat open and close several times. it may make a mess on the floor but the air will bubble out. make sure you baby sit the car while doing this. if you see the level in the rad go down quickly fill it up. do this until it does not take anymore fluid.

Are you using coolant/h20 or some time of water additive like water wetter? And to what ratio?

Where were you getting your coolant temp reading? Factory sensor using evoscan?

If the problem persists, its not your radiator (chances are as many people run the same setup with no issues) something else is up. Possibly look into ducting or remove the ac condenser if you haven't already to increase flow across the core.

If there is nothing abnormal about your setup that causes overheating and you are not running hard at a road course then stock rad should be enough. Stock rad is very good at cooling, its a dual core design from the factory. Only reason to change it is if you need clearance for turbos or if you run HARD on road circuits.

I'm not sure how the stock rad holds up to fpblack on a road course, but it should do decently well unless you do like 30min sessions at 9 to 10/10ths. In that case even if it holds the temps down I would switch to a koyo full rad. On dsm's and sti's the crimped on plastic endtanks can crack under heavy abuse. I've personally seen this happen to one friend's evo. I now run a koyo full just for safety reasons. And I run koyo over cbrd just because I know koyo engineers are a bunch of OCD japanese nerds and do a lot more rigorous testing for road racing.

I run the koyo unit and have never had any issues overheating during an HPDE.

This unit has the same dual pass design and the same placement of the inlet as the CBRD unit, provides consistent and proven cooling and costs $275 less than the CBRD unit.

Yes, they do. Except it explodes and coolant leaks all the time. You don't see it very often but after 1-2 laps, it comes into the pit to cool down. A couple times, the OEM radiator will blow up and coolant would leak everywhere. I think this info was from Speed Hunters when they took a pic of the Cyber Evo leaking out a lot of coolant and the tech was replacing it fast to send it back out for another lap.
