Why does my evo feel slow?

I just got my evo back from the dealer today after getting an alignment and oil change, and it just doesnt feel as fast as it used to. The only thing that I have done to the car is have it dynoflashed. Do you think they could have reset my car back to stock? I dont know why they would do this if they we only changing the oil and aligning it. . Its also been very cold lately (about 10ºf), could this have anything to do with it?

It seems that when i only apply partial throttle that the rpms will build but my speed wont. Its almost as if the turbo isnt working when i do this because i can hear the engine rev up but i cant hear the turbo whine. I meen its up at 5000rpm and all i can hear is the engine, no turbo. However when I punch it i can hear the turbo. At one point when i was driving i accelerated from a stop sign and boost seemed to cut out at about 3200 rpm for a few seconds then came back on. Im realy confused at this point, does anyone know what could be wrong with it.

Even if they did reset the ECU, its not going to "unflash" the Dynoflash. Do you have a boost guage? Are the readings where their supposed to be? If no guage you should really get one.

Your probably just getting used to the power of the car. It happens to everyone. Thats why we all just keep modding and modding. Its they same thing as a drug addiction, you build a tollerence to it. So you need more .

I just checked the temp and its 1ºf so that may have something to do with it. But i dont know why they would even touch the ecu at the dealership . Why would they even waste their time?? The big thing that bothered me is how it had a sudden loss of power that one time at 3200 rpm. Its almost like the turbo stopped working for a few seconds then decided to work again.

Not a chance!

My Evo actually performs better at 10F than at 40F.

i have the stage rev dynoflash in my car right now, and when Al tuned it he also leaned out the a/f ratio. Do you think i could be running too lean since it is 0º outside?

Okay, is this only happens once or it does it everytime when you spool the turbo? and if doing it everytime, just bring it back to the dealer and point it to them exactly, what is your problem is.

Maybe a bad diverter valve? (or blow off valve as you guys like to call it even though what the car comes with stock is not a BOV)

Has anyone had any issues with the thing yet?

If your rpm's build but your speed doesn't change you've got a bad clutch. Did the service guy take it on a test drive? The only part I don't understand is the business about part throttle. If your description is right about increasing rpm but steady speed it should happen at full throttle as well. At throttle levels below about 30% the car is running in closed loop mode and ignores the new code installed during the reflashing.

DUDE, you're barking up the wrong tree. Turbo cars especially run stronger in colder weather. The reflash has nothing to do with it either. If there's that big of a difference in the performance take it back to the dealer and have them check it out. Could be that one of your IC hoses is loose or popped off. Or it could be a problem with a vacuum line. Or maybe your clutch. etc.. etc..

Do you have a boost gauge? And if not that is the 1ST thing I would do.

Do not do this for THIS problem, two more words...warranty voided (because of the dynoflash)

He needs a boost gauge, it's like saying my car is overheating with a temp gauge.

Sounds kind'a like fuel cut. My Evo 6 RS-2 used to do this stock on cold days (denser air...), in fact it was a well known 'issue' with them. It wouldn't be 'a few seconds' though, and not suptle, it would be a sudden complete loss of power for a short period of time.
