Best Mivec Cams?

Ive heard alot of different opinions about camshaft selection, so i figured this is the ideal place to get a good comparison about which cams achieve the best gains on a stock mivec engine/ ix turbo set up.

lots of info on this already. General consensus is gsc s2 and kelford 272s. Both great cams.

your not gonna get gains over the whole powerband, your gonna have to give something up to gain something.

gsc s2's are a very good mivec cam and have been proven to make good power

S1's are good but you will outgrow then fast. Might as well just go with a bigger cam that you can grow into. The gains with the s2's greatly outweight any kind of "loss" down low.

I'm searching for the same thing, the best cams for my mivec evo 8 stock turbo and I'm being told cosworth m2's are the way to go and you don't need to do your valvetrain and they have the best power increase.

GSC S2's or Kelford 272's....

Most people suggest springs when you go with this size cam or larger. Although the stock turbo powerband doesn't go too high it's always good to have that assurance for not much more. Less aggressive cams, such as BC's, don't require springs but like I said, just a good time to do it while its all apart.

kelfords or gsc cams have been tried and tested for making great power on evos they are your best bet.... remember to plan ahead think about where you plan to go with the car and that will help you decide which ones will be best for you
