i bought a pair of used hks 272s for my 8 and had a shop install them. i get a call from them saying that only the intake cam is HKS and the exhaust is a stock evo 8 cam. its hollow and was 100% identical to cam he pulled out of my car. there were no hks stamps. the shop had a pair of evo 9 hks 272s and we compared the exhaust cams. this exhaust cam was noticably different and was HKS stamped.

what do you guys think? i can take more pics if needed. the hks cam i bought is the right and bottom.

 

Every HKS cam i have seen has said HKS on it.

 

Both my intake and exhaust Evo 8 HKS 272 cams have hks on them.

 

though looks like stock cams.

 

hks cams are solid and as said have hks on them , stock 8 cams are hollow as in the pic

 

I hope you kept the receipt.

 

272's should have HKS in the casting...
