Did you set your base ignition timing properly, with a timing light and all?

Hopefully your new map will fix it, but it does sounds like you don't have enough fuel. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? If so what does it read at idle? If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge pull the feed line from the fuel rail, put it into a bucket, crank the car over, see if gas sprays out into the bucket. Should be a solid high pressure spray. Double check the double pumper installation.

You won't need an adjustable FPR if you have the double pumper set up with a Hobbs switch. I was referring to a fuel pressure gauge (not FPR) so that you can check to see if the fuel is at a high enough pressure.

My car started and ran like crap even after I put my cams in the correct dowel pins, and the idle immediately smoothed out when I re-did my base ignition timing. Something to look into for sure.

That's a shame that it was the tune. I've NEVER heard a bad thing about Petey's tunes.

you wont hear me say anything bad about him. Im not here to bash anyone... In any way. He just didnt seem to confident in the basemap he sent me. I respect him as a tuner... And its a shame that the car did not run properly. I have not heard anything bad about him... And i wish him the best!

im in no way shape or form sour about my experience. He did try to help me get the car running... But he wasnt able to.

Its all good!
