possible death whine? (video posted)

So this whine has been there for around a month or so. I cannot hear it if I am going less than 40mph but after 40 it gets louder. It hits its peak loudness around 60mph and then tapers off in noise but is still there.

The weird thing is that I can hear it if I accelerate and I can also hear it if I put the car in neutral and coast, but if the car is in gear and I let my foot off the gas completely, it goes away?

Here is a video of me doing some light accelerating and some decelerating. You can hear in the video how it goes away when i take my foot off the gas.

I am pretty sure its the t.case but I thought it might be my walboro fuel pump making its infamous "whineboro" noise so im hoping but i dont have much hope at this point becase its not a good time of the year to drop 3k on a t.case.

ps, sorry the video is angled weird, i don't know how that happened.

Yes that's the death whine for sure. I speak from experience. Didn't even have to listen to the whole video. The more you drive on it the louder it will get. Changing fluids isn't going to make it go away. Send it off to get a new ring and pinion in the T-case. I sent mine to Shep.

What stage did you get? And have you only had to rebuild it once? And can it be rebuilt or do I have to scrap it?

Sorry for the dumb questions

I have the stage 3 I believe. Which ever comes with the quiaffe LSD. Since you have an MR, you already have a factory LSD. You don't need to upgrade that. You can rebuild your t case, but you will probably need a new ring and pinion gear.

Do you think the stage 1 will suffice for a car making under 450whp

I am getting my t.case done at Jacks and they told me via email that as long as I upgrade the LSD, it should be able to handle at least 500hp. They told me they have had guys run in the 9s with the stage 1 and a wavetrac LSD without problems.
