whats the difference?

so i was sitting here pondering my evo build, once i finish my honda, and im bent on running an fp black. so i decided to drool over fp's website and it got me thinking.

i seen that they offer a turbo upgrade for the ix turbo to a fp black. anyone know if their is a difference between the fp black they sell and the ix upgrade to the balck?

the reason i ask is because the fp black is now listed at $2500. the last i remember the bb fp black was listed at $2k. now if you click over to their listing of a brand new evo ix turbo it is listed at $1099.00 and the upgrade is liseted as the same which equals only $2k.

now if the evo ix upgrade to the black is the exact same as the fp black wouldnt that be an easy way to save around $400 if you ordered a ix turbo from them then turned around and sent it back in for the upgrade?

just food for thought and has got me wondering about ways to save some $ on a build i guess lol.

when they upgrade the ix turbo do they not convert it to BB? because on their website it says the ix turbo conversion to the black is 1k dollars so im assuming they convert it to a bb fp black exactly for that price with no difference since they dont offer the jb anymore. so from that you could save at least $400 bucks minus shipping buying a ix turbo, then sending it back in for the conversion. and one could possibly save more if they purchased a used ix turbo on here for maybe $600 and sending it in for the upgrade since they say they rebuild it as well before converting it.
