How large a motor? 2.0L I might use something different than I would if it was a 2.4L In this case I would use the GSC S2 as it offers more lift, better centerline, and more aggressive ramp rate. Above that (again depending on engine size and head flow) I would go for either the S3 or a GSC custom S2 with extra lift.

Does HKS Valve Springs Set Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I~VII
Part Num: 22001-AM001

compatible with these camshafts?.Cos i've already bought hks springs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GSC-S3-280-2...item2a1377d420

I've sent an email to hks japan they told me that springs compatible with camshafts up to 12.0mm lift But they said that springs are specially designed to use with HKS Step 2 camshafts so they are not sure abt other manufacturer's cams.Any idea?.

I havent used the HKS springs with S3s but that is the cam I would use on the larger motors for sure. We have a 3586/2.3/S3 car running around at 556 on pumpgas.

I have decided my 2.3 with the 3586 with midrange cams like the s2's is just crazy! It makes soo much torque its hard to drive and traction is a joke. Im thinking i want to switch the the S3's to calm down the explosive hit and give me some more high rpm power. Big motors just need big cams.

Aaron, So S3's VS STM650's...... GO!
