pretty much anywhere between the compressor housing and throttle plate should be nearly no vacuum.

I have it t off right at the turbo outlet. It still rumbles, but not too bad. I'll be designing a new version this winter.

I would need to do logs back to back with it on and off. It wouldn't be too hard to do that, but I don't have time at the moment. However, it feels like it!

I did back to back test of BAEC on and off. It's obvious that the spool up and PSI (2500-3800 RPM) and tapering and PSI at 5800-7000 RPM are identical. It was interesting to see without the BAEC my PSI tapered off at 3800 RPM and never reach 27 PSI.

The gain in HP/TQ is what I remember from when I first put it on. It's important to note that I didn't tune it without the BAEC in this VD.

I welded in an electronic cutout in a friends sti powered wrx. It sounds cool on the suby, but like someone else said it does leak by, so idle sounds kinda funny. And it hangs low, so he has to be super careful not to scrape on stuff. If did make a noticeable improvement in power because he had one resonator in his exhaust. We did some runs, rolling starts in 1st gear and the difference was obvious. he was about 3 car lengths faster with it open.

It's on a stock cat back. At the moment I'm running a 3" QTP DP with a Y Pipe built in. I plan on using a Perrin 3" DP and making a SS test Y pipe with my own version of this BAEC. I don't like the exhaust leak this one makes.

You said you have the QTP dp and previously you said you had the SP cutout

Which leaks?

I have the QTP Evo DP that I took the electric cutout off and replaced with a SP boost actuated exhaust cutout by SP. The SP unit leaks. Does that make sense? I have it off the car now I could take a pic.

Go with the one Aaron mentioned. My sp one leaks and you can smell it at idle.
