Injen short ram intake questions

been thinking about picking up the injen short ram intake and intercooler piping. Cant find any in depth reviews about and i was wondering if anybody on her is running it and if so is it worth it? Do you notice any power gains? Here's the link http://www.amazon.com/Injen-Short-In...4644726&sr=8-5

I don't use this but asked the same question a couple weeks ago. Basically I was told if you want the upper pipe for looks, go for it. But lots of people have problems with the lower pipe popping off and not fitting too good. I think the whole kit is around $350. Spend a little more and get ETS or another good name brand that nobody complains about

I have the injen intake and upper pipe. I do not have the lower pipe so I can't comment about that.

I love it to be honest with you. It fits perfect, looks good, and able to use a stock size battery. I'm not sure if its holding back any power or not, but i'm happy with the performance of my car thus far.

You don't really get performance out of the upper pipe, its more the intake and lower. For 60 bucks and maybe an hour I'm moving my battery to the trunk and getting a short path kit. If your spending the money, might as well get the most possible out of it.

Are you looking to build the car one piece at a time or do you more want dress up parts? Use the search bar or use google to look at previous posts about this. There are a ton. Also, if your looking for power the car will run like crap with an intake and pipes without a tune. I'd say, talk to your local tuner, tell him what your goals are and what parts you want. When you have all of your parts, install them all at once and have the car tuned. I thought I could just throw an intake on it and have it run better....wrong. The car would stall and run like crap.

I have had this kit on my evo 8 for 4,000 miles now and I love everything about it. Everything fits perfectly, increase in power is noticable and turbo spool up is significantly quicker. The kit includes everything you need and for the price, you cant beat it. Hard piping is hard piping, as long as it fits and runs together, its good to go. As it looks really good as opposed to all the stock rubber, but like most, this wasnt my biggest concern. Make sure you get a tune as always. I am waiting to get mine tuned after winter but I have heard of idle isssues, I am not experiencing these issues though so Im ok.
