subbie rumble??

ok last night I did some pulls and i heard a pop and it started to sound like a subbie rumble. from 1k rpm to 2.5 rpm.

stumbled home and took apart the injectors and one of them were just clogged with gunk..

cleaned them off and started the car again and the rumble is still there.
changed back to pump gas and pump map and the rumble does not go away.

i have precision 1200 injectors and they all read 2.4 ohms.

could i have damaged the head? how else can i check the injectors?
i will try to post vid on the noise.
please help guys

This sounds like exactly the same thing that happened to my friends Honda civic I know they are completely different cars, but he was getting on the gas at the on ramp of the highway and we heard a POP and the car started to lose power and ran very sluggish and sounded kind of like the rumble of a subaru. Long story short we found out it was only running on 3 cylinders and the valves for that cylinder were all messed up. Hopefully its not as bad as what happened to my friend. Just thought id chime in cause what happened to you sounds very similar to what my friend went through.

move the injector to a different cylinder. if the problem follows, that injector is clogged. same thing happened to me, i ended up having a buy a whole new injector from FIC

while the car is running pull off a coil wire to determine what cylinder isnt firing (much easier if you have a COP ignition)

Like some else mentioned, pull the plug wires one at a time while the car is running to figure out which cylinder isn't firing. If the engine runs worse when you disconnect the plug wire, that cylinder is firing. If it doesn't change, then that cylinder isn't firing. Once you have that figured out, swap the injector(s). A leak down test would be a great idea too.

found it number 1 cylinder
now I will take the injector clean it with inj cleaner and try it again
I will also swith #1 and #2 and see if the same thing happens to #2
which will mean that one inj is bad
i also checked that plug again and it was wet with fuel??? so i guess it is not firing??

Keep us posted on this. This happens to me intermittently, usually when it cold but just for a very short time.
