EVO rod weights

Hi All,

I read a post on here a while back that listed measured rod weights of different brands and types of rods. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've searched and can't seem to find it now.

Specifically looking for:

- stock rod
- aftermarket I-beam steel
- aftermarket H-beam steel
- aftermarket H-beam 300M
- aluminum stock length
- aluminum 162 mm
- titanium

If memory serves correct, the steel H beam was heavier than stock. 300C and aluminum were close, and TI was about 100 grams lighter than either of those. . .

Thanks!

LOL! I put one rod on the scale and it said 675 grams. I did not know what it meant either. Then I open the box and a card fell out on the floor that spelled it out.

Thanks guys! That sounds about right. Any weights for aluminum rods or titanium rods? Seems I saw a post a while back with AL rods at around 500gm, and some TI rods around 400? Does that ring a bell with anyone?

Does any body know R&R Racing H and I beams power rating per cylinder ? Will you sacrifice 54gr for getting I Beams for an 800whp Evo ?

H beams are rated at something like 190 per cylinder nominal, I beams are rated at 300 I believe. I will have to call in the morning on the I beams, the H beams I know are rated correctly. As far as that goes though, the GSC I am running arent as heavy as the R&R H-Beam and I made over 800 on them. Remember tune is everything.

Is rod weight usually measured with the rod bolts in, or without bolts?
