you gotta put on a bigger aftermarket turbo. I know for sure the stock 8 and 9 turbo does NOT make the turbo echo whistle no matter how open the exhaust is

that sounds like a straight pipe almost. I have the buschur 3" turbo back, test pipe and ultra free flowing bullet muffer. It's loud but it doesn't have the turbo whistle at idle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zk-a6...2&feature=plcp

The red EVO VI's exhaust in the video is exiting out the front bumper. That's why it is so loud and you can hear the turbo at idle.

Looks like the exhaust exits at the front bumper from the vid. That would explain how loud it is and hearing turbo at idle

EDIT: LOL above and I posted at same time.

I'm thinking about running a straight pipe after listening to that a few times. I had a straight pipe on my 3000 GT VR-4 and it sounded pretty gnarly at idle with cams and turbo whistling

For my car, I was going to pop on a quick v-band flange after the turn down from turbo on my downpipe for a quick disconnect Save a lot of weight for racing

yeah i have a vband down there but historically I've made a point to keep the car full weight at the track. When I went 10.41 @ 135 on pump it was with my big tool back in the trunk too. Going forward though I am going to race prepare the car to see what it can do in the right trim.
