just take the exhaust off. just use the downpipe. you will get all sorts of growling noises

This.

Go look at any stripped drag Evo with an exit out the front end and it'll have this same sound. It's not titanium or anything fancy involving free flowing exhaust. It's because the exhaust is literally 1 or 2 feet long.

I'm running the BF272 cams which are a bit more aggressive. The idle rpm has something to do with it as well.

Hi Mellon Racing,
mind to share what's yr idling rpm? Mine is 1,100rmp w/o aic-con & 1,000rpm w/air-con on...Can i set the AFR leaner a bit more on idling to get such cams sound?

it was idling at 1100 in that video if I remember correctly. I've never attempted to change the idle lope with AFR changes.

I have a 84mm fpred and the AMS 3" turndown and I definitely have the turbo whistle your speaking of. Since the 3076 and the fpred are essentially the same turbo you should have similar effects. I can post a video if you like
