Pedal to the floor. HELP!

I have an 06 IX MR. Mod list is in the sig. Have and ACT hdss clutch. Has about 40k on it. Never tracked.

I was driving tonight normal pushed the clutch in and at the bottom I felt a small pop. Pedal stuck to the floor. Had to muscle the car into gear to get home.

I get home and pull the pedal up and now it won't push down at all. Can't even start the car cause the clutch switch.

I have done the trans in my car before. Not something I care to do in the dead of winter in my driveway.

So is this my TOB that popped out? Did my clutch just take a poop? My inkling is its my TOB and it popped out. So if that is the case do I replace my clutch at this point as well? Ugh I am so aggravated

Any thought on how I can trouble shoot this?

check the clutch fluid, slave cylinder, clutch line...see if there is any leak. When my throw out bearing popped, i could hear loud noises...but it wasn't evo tho.

One more i can think of is maybe air in the system. But if you haven't change fluid and if there is no leak...i don't think it could be that...hummmm

Thanks Chef.. Yah don't think it air. I can't get the pedal to the floor anymore. I have to manually hold the clutch switch to even start the car.

Sounds like the lock ring came out to me that's happened to me several times but normally only after harsh engagement and disengagement

Def not the pedal. The fork is pushed and is out so can't get it to snap back in.

So basically that pic was how it was and its stuck in that position right? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's the ACT clutch, LOTS of people have had problems with there ACT clutch and it ends up the springs or hubs or some part of the clutch felll apart and need to pull the trans to fix it. Take off that rubber fork boot and look down there with a flashlight and look thru at the bottom of the bellhousing where theres a hole and see if you something out of place. Might need to pull a rubber plug out first but I'm sure you know.

If the slave is fully extended and the pedal doesnt go down thats odd but I would first check out for damage thru the holes then open the bleeder screw and see if the pedal will then go down and the slave with retract. If you need a new clutch master I have a Brand New OEM one still in the box let me know if you need it.

Tried to look in the inspection hole today. Just to cold to rip everything apart. At this point I think I need to pull the trans. I can move the fork over but won't snap back into place. Just stays disengadged.

So next question is do I replace my clutch. My ACT has 45k on it. I am not in love with this clutch with the findanaza lwfw. I am considering going excedy twin disk. Car is currently just shy off 400 whp but I am going to be upgrading the turbo in the future. I have been reading up on clutches so many different opinions.

I daily drive my Evo so I don't want to lose that

I had this problem last year. I had to bend the splined spring so that the c-clip would hold to the throw out bearing more securely. The ACT clutch pressure was more than the stock spring could hold.

The bummer is that the trans needs to be pulled. If you cant even move the fork the spring or c-clip broke/bent.
