Yo da man, Mr. Fred. Shouldn't be a tough swap, then. Thanks.

For anyone reading this searching for answers, I had to get an OEM Crank Trigger Wheel as well.

Oh, and apparently the cam trigger wheel is modified for EMS. Can anyone verify this?

You only have to modify the Cam Sensor wheel thing if you are running the trigger disc. If you are not you leave everything stock.

Ah, I see. Well, I'm running the trigger disc so that's why my cam trigger wheel is modified.

Thank you.

Welp, as most things go, my build has taken quite a bit long than expected. Thus, the car hasn't been started with the stock ECU.

However, this week or next week it should be done, so we'll see if the car starts or not .

I'm just excited to have my car legally pass inspection/emissions.

I would like to see progress on this. Is there a resistor difference or what can you comment on this so far?

Well I Imagine the AEM sensor has a different output that may need a resistor to work.

As far the map sensor goes you can just calibrate for it

Finally got my car running on the Stock ECU SD.

Honestly, the Stock ECU is great. I have noticed NO ill side effects, and it is a ton easier to tune than the EMS.

All I did for the swap was:

-Replace AEM 5 Bar with Omni 4 Bar
-Replace 11 tooth crank trigger wheel with OEM crank trigger wheel
-Replace modified cam trigger wheel with OEM cam trigger wheel
-Plug factory harness into Stock ECU!

Thus far, I can't really figure out why anyone would even use an EMS, as the car runs just as smooth, starts better, I can retain my OBDII functions for Emission purposes, and tunes are all cheaper!

Also, not many have figured out how to calibrate for the AEM sensor, including some big name shops. Any luck?

A lot of AEM EMS were sold before SD and V7 were available on the stock ecu. The logging in AEM is better and if you dont have a knock sensor it will cause issues as far as making you run only on the LOW Octane map and not allow for map switching since there is only one low octane map. I currently have no knock sensor on my car and just had these issues. Other than that IF you know how to use AEM it does have a lot of nice features the stock ecu doesnt but it also has drawbacks. The trigger disk is a nice upgrade making ignition timing much more accurate than the stock logic circuit and makes startup nicer on the AEM. If I got a free AEM I would probably keep it myself since there is also more adjustment for warm up enrichment and other areas that the stock ecu is not disassembled yet. I also wouldnt mind trying to do flex fuel control if it is a V2 box. I would however make a base map on the stock ecu as well to pass emissions each year using all the AEM sensors if possible.
