Exhaust manifold suggestions??

I put an sh***y ebay manifold on my car and go figure it has now obtained a few cracks on the welds. i bought a used DC Sport manifold from a goo friend with approx. 2k-3k miles on it. so what im trying to figure out and get some good suggestions as to whether i should go with changing to the DC sport tubular, or get my stock one port and polished so i can piece of mind knowing i will nott have to change it again. at least until i do a turbo kit upgrade. im also looking into a water/meth kit so idk how much or if that would change any of the answers?? thanks for the info fellas

If you plan to keep a stock frame turbo or something of the like, stock ported and coated will be your most reliable manifold for the price.

i figured it was garbage as well since i got it for dirt cheap with only that many miles on it and definetely appreciate the second input i took the stocker off when it had about 35 k on it and its been just sitting since then. will that have any effect of the performance?? or will the port and coat take care of any BS i could encounter?

and not to get off the actual subject but i also have a completely stock VIII turbo w the same amount of miles as the dc manifold. think it would be of any help to switch it out w my old one since it may be easier to take the whole turbo system out anyway to put in the manifold? figured it couldnt hurt to put a newer turbo in if im not mistaken??

I've always been skeptical of the DC unit...looks like a copy-paste design of every other cheap tubular manifold found on the market..

How would a MAP ported stock manifold compare to their short runner manifold in terms of spool-up & power gains? A ported/coated stock manifold is in the neighborhood of what the short runner manifold costs...anybody with experience with both?

i really dont have much experience besides dont buy a cheap manifold of your f#$@ed!! lol im just looking to get the stock ported/coated because im in need of a solid manifold that i can rely on w out having to replace until perhaps a turbo upgrade. in which case it would come w a fresh one. And thats a great question because i would also like to know what the difference between the 2 are as far as power and price.

Take the # in this graph for ported mani.

Compair it to the short runner in this graph.

Make conclusion and buy.
