I have an USDM 8 head, and a JDM 7 Head.. As far as I can tell they both look the same. That says nothing really useful about the interior structure of the heads, but I honestly doubt they would produce two different castings on a limited production automobile, at least the first year or two of USDM evo production.

The JDM Evo 8.5 MR was the first Evo to get Mivec, so that might be the only JDM head that might have been different.

Oh and FWIW, even if they were different, it would still be cheaper and more beneficial to take a USDM 8 core and have it ported by someone who knows how to use a flow bench.

tscomp,

I have absolutely no definitive answers for you.

If my friend (one of your newest most annoying customers) caused this, we get that cancer causing gasoline from South America here not the EPA friendly 93 "****" you get in the states . While it could very well be revised coolant passages in the head making the combustion chamber less knock prone it could be that we just get "great" 93 here?

The latter is wishful thinking on my part no doubt lol
Lol not my fault! :O

Next time I go logging I could come pick you up and we go Cost U Less?
