Headlamps would, but they direct light to the left, which would bother oncoming traffic. USDM points to the right. If you drive on the right side of the road, get USDM headlights.

This. Very dangerous when folks put lamps that direct the wrong way.

Eh, they don't really "direct light" in the sense that you guys are talking about (like the actual lights are pointed that direction)

The cutoff on the projectors is opposite. So on LHD cars the cutoff looks like ____/------- so that the light on the right is distributed higher because it's bleeding off the side of the road. on RHD cars the cutoff is opposite -------\____ and more light bleeds left

Where I grew up we drive on the left so RHD. A lot of folks buy the lights from LHD vehicles and install them. While the technical description above is great the end result for an oncoming car on narrow roads is that the light ends up shining into the oncoming car. Having dealt with it a lot I'm going to caution against it when I can

Yes, agreed. I'm merely pointing out that lights aren't physically aiming the wrong way, the cutoff shields are just "mirrored" from one another thus producing an output designed specifically for which side of the road you're driving on in comparison to traffic
