Finally FP BB upgrades available!

just checked FP site and Ball Bearing upgrade now available for evo 9 and 10!

So, after you buy a wastegate actuator and oil line, you're looking at $2248...a savings of about $250 by providing your own core? Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't really seem worth it, in my opinion. Unless the resale prices drop because of this, you could sell your IX turbo on the forums for $400-$450.

So does this mean I'll be getting my fp black dbb ? I have only been waitng 5 months and was told over and over a couple more weeks or the old saying yeah its shipping next week. I thought they weren't going to be doing the upgrades until most people got there turbos they paid for.

Simple math points to the fact that you'd come out on top by selling your stock IX turbo, & use that money towards the cost of a new BB turbo. Let's see some more IX turbo's for sale here!!!

Lol for me here in Canada it would cost me more to upgrade then to buy a brand new dbb turbo .
It's cool they offer the service but as (ww-gsr) said just sellyour ix turbo and buy a brand new one because it makes more sense.

I wonder if it's the same price to send in a fp black jb to be made to a dbb

What are the benefits of upgrading other than the DBB providing improved spool and transient response? Is this turbo more road-course reliable?
