Any SES lights? Sounds like idle air control valve or tps.

IAC, TPS, or MAF is what it sounds like to me. Sounds like you're car isn't adjusting to the added amount of fuel that it gets on warmup so it's flooding out a little. Clean those 3 parts and see if it helps. Also, check your plugs and plug gap.

Sounds like the same problem I'm having. I also just got my evo. Trying to figure out the cause still. Was also told it could be iac, tps, or maf. Maybe even a vacuum leak.

A boost leak definitely won't help your situation and is at least a simple fix. Check your IAC like mentioned previously too.

This sounds like an IAC for sure. You should try to turn your AC on when its warmed up and just park somewhere, if your cars RPM drops with the AC on, I believe its the IAC. The higher the AC, the more RPM it will drop if its your IAC.

It does drop when AC is on,alot...I've ordered a new IAC anyways because the most feedback i've got so far leans towards that.Damn thing is expensive!

I vote iac valve. Very easy to check. Take off upper ic pipe and its located on throttlebody. On lower part of throttlebody. Check fins on iac valve. If it looks chewed up thats the problem. It was for me. Good luck.
