Oil Leak issue
Ok I had the head rebuilt on my car . Car jumped timing. Everything is bolted back up and car is running. Noticed some oil on the driveway. Looked over the car and noticed oil coming from the top by the right side of the head opposite of the cam gears. Think its the balance shaft area. Oil is seeping from this bolted area. Posting pics. I resealed it but think its still leaking any thoughts on where else to trouble shoot?

Leaking from the bottom bolt area

Balance shafts are on the same side of the motor as the cam gears.
Hard to tell from the pics with your black/white digi camo where the leak is. You are showing pics of the cam position sensor... is the leak above or below that? Maybe the valve cover is seeping...? How much oil did you notice on the ground?

It was enogh to notice the drips. It's leaking from the 2 things that bolt on to the head. 3 bolts and that plate. Can't see the leak but can feel its wet. Saw the drip down the front of the head. It's not a Ton of oil but it's enough. Sorry for the lousy explanation

I cleaned and rechecked all bolts. GF is driving it today so will check to see if the oil leaks are still there. Had surgery on my arm so can't drive
Hope its fixed...Will update thanks for the suggestion

Just watch out if you take it to a dealership. I did when I first noticed the leak and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. The "Evo Tech" told me me head gasket was leaking and would cost around $1500. Well I said screw that, and checked into the issue further. Hope it's just a screw man, save you some serious cash.
i know this thread is a few months old..did anyone find the culprit as to where and what is leaking?i have the same problem its leaking from the same spot next to the camshaft sensor... 3 bolt cover (bottom bolt) area..
Yup replaced the valve cover gasket that wasn't the problem..it's comming from behind the cam sensor and next to the CAS housing and dripping between the head and block..almost gave me a heart attack lol
very old thread but im having the same prolem from the exact same spot, bottom bolt of the cam angle sensor housing.
did anyone ever figure out how to fix it or what exactly was the problem? would putting a sealer around the sensor housing between the housing and the cover seal it up? or is it possibly the cam cover on the outside and it just needs a new gasket/sealer?

Holy old thread bump... If I remember correctly. I resealed it and tightened down the bolts. Has not leaked since so nothing really all that special just made sure it sealed well and bolts were tight
