BBK Full BB turbo...or not?

Does anyone familiar with the CBRD Speed Factory online store know whether the BBK Full(non-ported) listed for the price of $1895.00 is a ball bearing turbo? It is not totally clear to me from reading the online catalog. But, for that price it must be, huh? Does anyone know for sure though? Please shed some light.

Uh, OK, thanks, guys! But at 2500 clams, it is just a bit beyond my grasp at the moment. LOL

Anyone think it's worth the $1200 to make the conversion from JB to BB?

Id agree also. Its already a fast spooling turbo. The $1200 extra could be used for other mods to increase spool and output, ie: manifold, porting, coating etc.

I don't think the BB is going to alter spool at all based on bearing characteristics. What I'm concerned with is keeping the turbo spinning and how the BB will change transient response when used on a road course.

That's the price for the JB BBK Full. Chad quoted me roughly 2500 for a ball bearing ported BBK Full a couple months ago. Good luck

Sounds about right.

Maybe I'll just sell mine and buy a new turbo since it looks like I'm paying an extra $440 for no reason.

I paid $1740 for my ported JB BBK Full. Chad told me it's an extra $1200 to convert.

So $2940 in total?

Hmmm that's weird. I would do what you said and just sell yours and pick up a ball bearing one

I will throw in a free powered by bbk spark plug cover for a BB new unit purchase-

they are just too cool

for most people the JB setup is fine- we did BB because the market asked us for one-

and if someone kills a JB CHRA- we can now convert to BB where before we may have been stuck with a junk turbo-

cheers
