Something is wrong with your boost/vacuum hose routing schemata if it is set up as you say. The 4mm hose that connects to the nipple on the diverter valve should be connected to a port on the intake manifold.

Ok thats what i was thinking. Before i swap it around first of all what should boost be at for a mostly stock evo (besides intake, transmission, clutch, exhaust, and a retuned ecu)? also what shouls the vacume line running to the BOV be connected to? right now its ran back to the intake before the turbo just like the dump tube? Thank you for your help

When you state "vacuum line" are you refering to the 4mm hose that is connected to the nipple on the diverter valve? The thin hose that is about as big around as a pencil, right? That is what you are talking about? Anyway that thin vacuum hose is the hose that should be connected to a nipple on the DV.

Ok before i try switching it around about how much boost do you think i should be running? Also where should the vacume line from the BOV be ran to? right now he has it ran to the cold air intake tube just like the dump hose is. Does this need to be ran to a vacume port on the manifold? Thank you for your help

Sounds like maybe your boost control solenoid is unplugged. With it unplugged you should be running at waste gate psi which is a little higher than 10psi but not by much.

And boy that DV install looks funny, but it does look to be installed in the right direction. Pressure from your UICP should be going into the bottom opening (opposite the brass colored cap) and then the vent is out the side. In stock form the DV is directly attached via that side opening to the intake pipe, and the there is a hose that connects the DV to the UICP. Should be normal considering you changed out your intake.

Oh and the vacuum line that goes to the intake tube (pre turbo) should be coming off of the boost control solenoid (or capped in your case). The vac source for the DV should be off of the intake manifold, there is a hard line that should be accessible on the driver's side front corner of the valve cover, just above where the DV should be.

ok so i went and checked around the engine and i found the mechanic left a vacume line off the intake manifold open. It looked like it was supposed to go to the bov so i routed the vacume line from the bov up to this open vacume port off the manifold. Now i just have to go give it a shot and see if it works correctly. Also about how much boost should i be running?

His BCS should be out of the loop because he is using a manual boost controller.

Correct. The vacuum port in the preturbo intake tube or hose is connected on a stock setup to the BCS. But, since he is running a MBC and no BCS then this little protruded port on the intake hose should be plugged off tightly.

ok i plugged the port on the intake tube and ran a vacume line from the bov to the intake manafold and it boosted me up to about 14 psi. Is that where it should be or should it still sit up around 20?

It depends. Is the knob on your MBC turned all the way in, clockwise, or is it turned all the way out counterclockwise? Or is the knob rotated to some point somewhere in between the two extremes?
