I use motul 300v and I recommend a synthetic ester based oil (motul 300v, redline, millers, silkolene,...)

i have motul 300v now but i dont wont to use it again, due to difficulty to get!
But the 10w60 castrol is also fully synthetic.
My question was really if the 10w60 is to thick?

The 10/60 Castrol works as a 60 weight at high temp but really is not thick at all and makes good power on the dyno. Price is no worse than some other high end synthetics - BMW dealer is just about the only place to get it in North America. I use it in one car (normally aspirated) but use 5-40 Rotella on the Evo.

Friend in Europe uses it on all their race cars and personal cars including turbo. Much less wear on the race car engines than previous oils they used. When it burns it almost smells like bean oil, eg old Castrol R if anyone remembers that.

Personally, I'd have no hesitation running it in a built Evo and many of the guys in Europe on lancerrregister seem to be running it. Probably unneccessary/overkill but BMW specc'd it for their M series engines after they were having bearing problems and this seems to have been solved the issue.

BTW, here's a link on 10/60 discussion:http://lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=244716

If your oil engine doesn't exceed 115º/120ºC I would choose a -w50 oil
