QM 8 Leg

Any new info on these clutches? Longevity, ride quality, rebuild prices, etc?

Thanks for the help hotshot. A simple search yields several results. Those results date back to when the clutch was fairly new. It's been almost a year with several thousand miles on these clutches I'm looking for how owners like them so far. Furthermore if ride quality has diminished as miles progress. Again, I value your great contribution to these forums and if I need anymore assistance I know now that you're the guy with all the answers.

i have the race version, i drive it on the street all the time. its by FAR way better than the old version. it does make noise, but this thing will hold anything you throw at it and you can shift like a **** at any RPM you desire.

i only have 300 miles on mine, but for the amount i drive my car it will alst me 10 years lol

I drove the street version when it was brand new. in a test car, actually, and I loved it. there was a bit of noise with the clutch in, but not something you could even hear inside the car, it slipped easily, and progressively, grabbed hard when I wasn't gentle with my left foot. I didn't personally do any fast shifting, but I've heard from everybody that it's beautiful. Unless you're an absolute stickler for what other people think of your car, I'd recommend it to everyone.

I can hear mine rattling the insides of my transmission apart every time I drive it. It does take everything imaginable that I can throw at it. Low mass makes shifting quick a breeze. This is a "you have to pay to play" clutch..

QM 8 leg version is much improved over the old 6 leg. It still makes a chatter noise, but to me it much quieter then the older version. High RPM shifting is amazing. Feels like butter. Ive drive the 8 leg around town on the weekends and does not bother me one bit. Overall the clutch is muh improved over the old version.

I prolly have made over 50 9 sec passes this year with the best of 9.1 multiple times and the clutch is still going strong. Its been in the car since July and lasted all the way through the season with beating the **** out of it. My goal this year is making a 8 second pass and i am still going to run the QM 8 leg. I recommend it!
