06 Evo 9 clutch advice
Hey everyone,
Let me first start by trying to eliminate the trolls.. Yes I can afford this car to fix it, maintain it etc .. But I am kinda in a rough spot as I am moving so financially I don't want to blow a whole bunch of money. And yes I did search but couldn't find my specific answer I wanted.
Ok, So I got a bad deal at a local Toyota dealership.. When I test drove it I couldn't tell the clutch was going out.. once I put the turbo-back exhaust on it started slipping on boost. I was wondering 2 questions I am finding ACT clutches on the internet for around $500 and was hoping I could resurface the flywheel.. At 66k miles do any of you think the stock flywheel is in a condition to be resurfaced? And do ACT clutches, granted I KNOW they aren't even close to the best, good enough for daily driving? I Would like to fix the clutch as a 'just for now' fix as in a few months I should have plenty of money for a top clutch kit. Thanks for your replies in advance.
