Gut the cat, flash Tephra v7 to the ECU, turn on the rear o2 simulator.

you dont need to gut the cat man, you already through a code, just buy a test pipe, and buy what is called a spark plug anti fouler. Search on here for those words get the part#. Go to the parts store buy it, you screw your rear 02 sensor into it, and the other end goes into your exhaust pipe. Clear your check engine light code, and it shouldnt turn back on. Simple
Good luck

Sounds like its bust inside. Worst than just some damage cat. Air will not flow smooth at all, should replace it soon before it hurt the engine.

Yeah you could do that, or ask someone with a scan tool to clear the code. Autozone has a code reader to clear codes if you want.

okay so I installed my test pipe on Friday and did the 02 fouler fix. I was driving out to Everett and my car dies had it towed to my mechanics shop to find out that I kept blowing #18 fuse which has the engine symbol on it. he replaced the fuse and then my car worked fine for about half a day. I couldn't take my car above 4k rpm otherwise my car would die n blow a fuse. eventually it got to the point where I couldn't even start my car without blowing the fuse. anybody kno what the problem could b? I was reading other threads n some ppl think maybe bad crankshaft sensor?! need help n bad. Already p****** off my girl with how much time I spend on evo

It shouldn't be a stretch to assume the rear O2 is causing it, considering that's the ONLY thing other than non-electrical exhaust components you should have touched while installing a test pipe.

Try unplugging the sensor and see if the problem goes away, yes it'll throw a light, but it'll be a quick way to diagnose the issue.
