some people do maintain their cars!

took the valve cover off my evo today. almost 90k on it. does it look good or what? not sure what oil was used all its life as i bought it at 80k miles.

that looks scary dry atm lol. you better lube up the lobes on the cams before you turn it over

it hasnt been started in like 2 weeks. i think its mobil 1 10w30 high mileage in there, not 100% sure as it was from last fall before i put it in storage.

That's not true, synthetic's still sludge up just like conventional. It's all about the change interval, and it looks like you got a good one!

I have been running Mobil 1 in my DD most of the 20+ years I have owned it. Just got back a test result last week from Blackstone Labs, and they said it looked pretty good for an engine with 118,000 miles on it. So, good choice in oil, anyway.
