I see the gates water pump from lancer shop is 58 bucks but the oem one is close to 200. Clearly I will go with the cheaper route if it's a better deal but not if it's a junk pump. Has anyone used this water pump before?

Even if you hop across to Ebay, there is a brand called GMB which is Japanese made and last time I checked, Mitsubishi is a Japanese made car.

 

I just purchased a Gates shipped TMD for 55. Comes with gaskets and quality looks first rate. I have never in my life purchased an OEM water pump..lol

 

well ive always built small block chevy's and theres a lot of options for water pumps. The only non oem one i could find for this was the gates and one other one that was like 75 bucks also. but thanks for the help!

 

I'm using a GMB pump in mine, no complaints so far after 12k.
