No you need to upgrade the valve springs and retainers with GSC s2's

ok so basicly which ever route i go with cams as in kelford 272 or gsc s2 i will have to upgrade my valve springs and retainers while im at it might as well do my lifters and valves? any recomendations on valves and lifters and springs and tetainers?

because i found on the amsperformance website ferrera valves at 26.99 and intake at 25.99........also found the lifters and springs please let me know also im guessing i would need a machine shop to do this work i am very mechanicly inclined will i be able to do this my self its just swaping out the parts correct

Between the two I would certainly choose Ferrera intake and exhaust valves over Brian Crower but thats personal preference, realistically I'm sure both would be fine. I can't comment on doing the work yourself, I do most installs myself with the exception of engine work.

I've been running GSC S2's with a completely stock Valve train making over 480whp470wtq for over 30,000 miles and no problems. will I upgrade? eventually... but it's not necessary.

very interesting, it is highly recommended that you do upgrade the valvetrain with S2's and any equivalent, which is why I suggested the OP do so himself. Glad you haven't ran into problems, but I'd say you are one of the lucky ones

besides the handful or track days under my belt, I usually don't beat on my car too hard. spirited driving here and there, but it probably has helped a lot.

OP, stock engine or built?
