Do I need to bleed the ACD after removing the bleeder screw?
Do I need to bleed the ACD after removing the bleeder screw?
As the title above. I had a very slight leak around the bleeder screw located underneath the transfer case. I decided to remove the screw and wrap it with the white tape and tightened it back. No more leak. While on it I had the transfer case and rear diff fluids changed to Diaqueen LSD. Started the car fine, exactly as before - 3 ACD lights ON for 1.5 seconds and then dissappeared leaving the default tarmac ON, no funny noise or anything and the odo now has 400km on it since the process. In fact the car felt smoother but that maybe because the old fluids was not Diaqueen. I also checked the resevoir level at the boot and its fine. What I would like to know is, will I be fine because I just can't help thinking about the air being trapped in the system when the screw was removed temporarily thus gradually shortening the pump life, idk? Has anyone removed the screw without bleeding and had no issues? Any helps appreciated! Sorry for the essay!
