Hi there, not to experienced in the modification sector but ive found some Kelford 290 degree cams for sale and not sure if I should buy them. Probably should add in that they are second hand. My cars pretty standard, 3inch straight through exhaust, walbro 500hp fuel pump, turbosmart fuel regulator, hks evc 5 boost controller, pod filter, greddy bov, aftermarket intercooler piping.

Would be looking at upgrading the turbo in the near future to a Garett GT3540R and forge the engine.
So would the 290's be ok or would 272's or 280's be better suited?

All depends on your goals I'd say. But 290's are pretty excessive.

 

will you be drag racing the car?

272s will work well with most setups under 500HP

 

I will take it down to the strip once its done but other than that it will be daily driven.

 

So I take it best not to go with the 290's. Whats the difference between 272's and 280's? My goal is 400kw+

 

272s suit you best 240-750whp range
