Having issues with wastegate actuator
I just finished installing an external dump o2 housing on my evo. Well now it sounds like the wastegate is stuck open. The first time I got into boost it went over 30psi and hit boost cut. Is there any tricks to fix it or just buy a new one?
You can adjust it?
I really had no idea. Came from a built stroker turbo honda with external wg. No idea about the internals. More info would be good.
Also want to add that I can pull the arm on the actuator and it does move. From the last one i replaced that was bad it would not move at all.

Did you install the (divided) gasket that came with the dump? Because if you installed a regular undivided gasket exhaust gas will escape from the turbine through the dump.

Try taking the mbc out of the equation. Run your vacuum line directly from the boost source to the wastegate and see what that does.
Have you tried to actuate the waste gate with a hand pump or something similar to see when it opens?

I will try to run the line from turbo to wastegate and see what happens. No never tired to us a hand pump.
Anyone had this issue after a o2 dump install? It is a vsrf/muse by the way. How do you adjust the actuator?
Oh and i can hear the exhaust get louder through the dump so i would assume its opening but boost still goes to high.

No haven't had a chance to do it yet. I will tonight after work. But this issue did not arrise until the external dump was installed.
