when i compared the omni ring to the factory, it was noticeably narrower (inside of ring to outside) when sitting one on top of the other.

Great recommendation. I reused the stock o-ring on my 50K mile set-up, and it worked great for about 3-4 weeks, but then it developed a really bad leak. New o-ring, boost leak test, and A-OK again!

I just swapped mine out today and I could also see a definite difference in the size of the two rings when I compared them side by side. The Omni ring is definitely smaller but I'm not entirely sure mine was ever leaking.

Dumb question honestly but I wanted to make sure I am right on this.. When I install this sensor do I need to get a retune or should I still be fine? Just wanted to make sure I didn't need to get a retune.

You need to make adjustments in the rom for the car to run. This sensor requires different settings than the stock one. It's a quick less than a minute change.

Here's a link to the info: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...evo-8-9-a.html

Also I am local to you and can make the change and flash it if needed.
