ebay 4" fmic

hay guys
i would hate to step on anyone's toes but living in australia, the extra cost of shipping could be a deal killer. ive come across an australian ebay cooler that is 300bucks and free shipping, compared to 700 and maybe 100bucks shipping for an ets (which is my dream piece if i could afford it).

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FMIC-Inte...item1c0ffea2e7

can anyone help an aussie brother out and tell me if this is total crap or not to shabby . i do understand the brand name will give more power, but the size of this has got to provide some gain
thanks guys.

Looks like most ebay intercoolers and will probably work fine.

I'm sure you could easily make 600whp with this but it will probably heat soak faster than your brand name intercoolers out there.

You will probably need custom piping as well.

the custom piping i disagree with. it'll work almost the same as something like ETS but it will heatsoak much worse. if it's for a daily, that's not a big deal. if its for autox, track, drag car, that would be a dealbreaker

From personal experience, I wouldn't buy it. I came across major fitment issues with the FMIC i bought off Ebay. I already noticed that the intercooler your looking at is missing the mount on the top that connects the FMIC to the radiator support. The angles of the air ports didnt match up to even the oem piping(on the FMIC I cought off ebay). Bottom line decision is up to you but I'd hate for some one to go through the troubles I did to get the cooler to mount properly and get proper air flow.

I wouldn't do it. Since your in Australia, contact Solid Imports. He's bringing over a shipment now, maybe he can squeeze something in for you.

a good intercooler garrett core is the way to go you will gain power instantly and not get heat soaked on back to back runs. my buschur racing race IC is one of the best mods on my car
