Stock clutch limits
So I used the search bar for a while and google and I am not finding any posts stating the stock clutch's power limits. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how much power it could handle before I would need to upgrade.
I ran mine at 400/400 for a long time but launched the car many times in its lifetime. I got 54k miles out of the stock one with a modded Evo that retained stock turbo.
No offense but you didn't search well enough, I had the same question a month ago and found a general answer by searching.
It will of course depend how you drive and how much you beat on it.....
From what others have posted the stock clock will hold DJ numbers ~400/400... some have mention up to 450whp but it didn't last for very long. If you are racing, auto-x or drag (launching) ~350-70 is going to be your limit... eventually it will let go.

My stocker has been through 20-30 passes at the drag strip, autocrossing and lapping/time attack. Still holding very well, no signs of slippage. Car's at 65k miles. Running about 340-360 wtq.

Awesome thats about what I'm looking to have pushed to the wheels once I get my new engine in. I'm just short on time, have to get the car up and running in a month for shipping, and short on money, so I'm trying to keep what I can stock to get it done. That and I don't plan on dragging it so from what you guys have said I should be fine till I can afford a new clutch.
I recommend the Comp Clutch 5152-2100, it is extremely cheap, drives exactly like a stock clutch, and can hold more torque than my car will ever produce. I love it so far and have lots of seat time with it already.

I was actually considering that one once I actually got home, but if I get this running I'll be making the long roadtrip home, so shouldn't be too much shifting, stocker looks fairly new so I think it will be just fine till I make it home and can afford a new one haha
