Gear select lever on gearbox slight wobble
Ok here's the deal:
Changed clutch last year to exedy stage 1 (yeah I know what some may say) and I am getting the dreaded lockout despite adjusting the clutch pedal etc. under 6k rpm it's still notchy
But I noticed recently that my gear select lever on the box itself (where the top shifter linkage bushing is located) was wobbly: I mean I can actually shake it with my hand and it feels a bit loose although the nut is on tight. Can that affect the shifting?
reason I ask is from day of purchase the gearbox was a bit notchy and changing the shifter link bushings etc as well as a torque solution front mount didn't make any difference: what I did notice is that if I shake the shifter slightly before putting into gear it would go in smoother... and this was long before installing the exedy.
Has anyone ever had that issue with the select lever affecting shifting?
