Im Curious as to what kind of increase in Turbo spool time I should expect with a new 2.2L LR setup in conjunction with a new ported head. Compared to my current setup with a 2.0L, non ported head. Currently my 6266 turbo will hit full spool by 5,200 RPM, But I would love to hit full boost around 4,500-4,800 RPM. Would this 2.2L setup and new head achieve that? I know I for sure want a Long Rod Setup Because im addicted to revving to 9000RPM With this turbo Setup.

 

Figure 300-400 faster than a 2.0L.

 

I have a 2.1 with 10:5.1 compression & a PT6266 BB turbo & I start spooling up at 3400RPM & full boost at 27PSI at 4400RPM. What's your compression?

 

what exhaust also?
Twin scroll T4 or open scroll T3/T4/V band

 

94mm crank will spool 200rpm faster
head porting if done right can help spool as well
