Why do you say that? I feel thats rather ignorant to say that you "don't think its great" without giving every one about to read this some sort of background as to why you don't like the 6262.

People are going to ask for your goals, your current setup, etc. Give us something man!

exactly with someone who has so many posts you should know better to write something extremely vague and expect something to come out of it.

What exactly are you expecting out of it?

There are definately better turbos out there, but again, its all about what your expecting to get out of it

Have you personally used one? Why didnt you like it? Was it a DBB or JB unit?

I dont se how you could say it i "not that great". If it is used in the right application it is a badass. People have made well into the 800's on the 62 compressor wheel. The 6262 will do 700whp easily. What do you think is such a groundbreaking turbo that the 6262 is no relevant? Also it is available for under $1000 journal bearing and will put a car in the 9's. if you wantit DBB you can get it that way too. It has a ton of turbine housing choices as well. I dont see a more badass turbo out there for the money. If you want MAX power from a 62mm turbo the 6266 is a beast s well but I do not beleive a 6266 will spool better than a CEA 6262 will. A CEA 6262 will make a ****load of power.

What do you want your car used for mainly? 1/4, 1/8 mile? NASA, SCCA? Street Monster? once you figure that out, you can narrow what turbo and supporting modds that will best fit your needs.

Sorry for the vague comment. I'm just a 1/4th guy & hang out with my friends. I think the 6262 is WAY overkill I had a 4431 & it was horrible on response & track times where not that great but was great on the highway. I was Aiming for a HTA35r but I keep getting 6262 thrown up & people saying just call it a day. I was just stating I think its overkill just to say slap it on & be done with it.

The high Dyno # to me doesn't really mean to me that its going to be awesome in 1/4th. Obviously they have stock turbos doing what upgraded ones do. I'm trying to find a route that I wont be disappointed in this go around.

Was gonna go With a BB Blk or Red but tuner said avoid stock exhaust housing turbo's & stick with a T3/T4 type setup. So I set forth for HTA35r.. figured all supporting mods & a great tune would be more than enough to get me what I want without over doing it.

Then again I live in a town FULL of FI domestics... guess thats why everyones saying go big

I'm gonna do some digging up & reading today while I'm off. Lots of choices & options out there. I could be content riding under 500 awhp/ 400trq I feel like I could make that work for me. the 4431 that was recommended to me just didn't preform well even some FP greens out preformed it. BUT then again factoring in meth inj or e85 I'm sure it would have been a much better experience for me.

I just thought it was odd my friends 6262 barely pulls on a stock c6 I would expect it to walk way harder.

You should serious look into the EF3/4 for 500whp E85.....

How much power is your buddy's 62 actually making? In my experience 440whp MD was just barely getting walked by a c6 z06 headers, cams, blah blah...~550-575whp DJ.

If your looking for hta35r the 6262 spools almost identical I have a friend with a BB 6262 on his stock 2.0 and I have a hta82r 82ar stock 2.0 and the spool is almost identical right after 5k full boost. 6262 is a great turbo that proved itself, but the new options 6266/6466 for a small sacrafice of a 100-200 rpm in spool to make loads more power

6262 is a very nice turbo especially with all the lag that's out there it does extremely well.

Mike from AWD went 8.98 with the 6262. Seems to be pretty potent if you ask me. During my build I used a 6262 and still have it on the car.

I was set on doing a 6262 with my build and the more research and graphs I've seen of how little the spool difference is between the 6466 and how much more jam it makes up top seems like a no brainer for 1/4mile and a street monster!
