Blew up an hta 3582 last week and I had seen sparkly oil come out so...





Is that too much play? Im sure there isnt supposed to be any... btw motor is MAP Stage 2 2.4l with the bells and whistles. 14k on the motor. 10 launches on it.

 

Your asking us to measure .00x" in a youtube video. Get real measuring tools or bring it to an engine machinist.

 

Doesn't look like it moves much. Just pull the rod caps off and inspect the bearings. Not that difficult especially since the pan is off. Good luck.

I guess first thing to ask is.. sparkly oil out of the turbo or out of the oil pan?
next HOW did you kill this turbo exactly?
given what pica you have shown..if you found that in your oil pan.. can only error on the side of safety..out comes the motor,complete cleaning and check and new oil cooler
