Opinions on Line Boring?

Hey so I've run across an issue and I need to decide between two options.

The first is to have my current 2.0L block crank girdle line bored and re-used...the second is to buy another used block (whatever it may be) and go from there.

I'm just worried about alignment issues with the line bore and if it may or may not cause problems down the road. Will the longetivity of the motor be the same as a different motor that hasn't been line bored (all other variables constant)? Is there anything to worry about, etc? Line boring would just require .10 under, .20 under, etc bearings and nothing else, correct?

Would be good to get some machinists/engine builders in here with opinions.

Do NOT come in here just to say something along the lines of "2.4L > *" or anything...that doesn't help.

Thanks guys!

I would rather use a fresh block.

I see no problems with line boring a block, I'm using one without any problems for around 10,000 Miles. It all has to do with your machinist and weight the cost compared to another block

I like how that sounds...thanks for the input man.

Just gotta weigh the benefits with the cost now.
