Evo ix cant get it into 1st gear even with car off

Recently my tob seperated on me while driving and locked me in neutral so I ordered a new clutch and flywheel from competition clutch and swapped out the garbage stock clutch and tob. The problem I have now is it is very hard to get into first gear even with the car off, takes about 20 tries to actually get it into first. Every other gear works great except 1st. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think this was the correct spot to open this thread.

But did you adjust your clutch pedal after install?

If you are having issues shifting when the car is off then I would first look into the shifting mechanism and make sure it was re-installed correctly.

My apologies for posting in the wrong section. I have adjusted the pedal correctly (did it when I first bought the car so I knew how to do it this time), also the mechanism appears correct, when I took out the tranny I didnt undo the linkages from the bracket on the tranny I just unbolted the 2 12mm bolts and moved the linkage and bracket aside. Im thinking its first gear syncros cuz if I shift from 2nd to first it feels like lockout but every other gear shift is fine. The clutch is def disengaging, I watched through the bottom hole in the tranny while my brother clutched in and its moving freely.
